Our Caring Hand Fix and Caring Hand Wash are vegan. However the Caring Hand Cream contains manuka honey.
Our bottles and tubes are fully recyclable, with the recycling triangle prominent on our packaging. Simply rinse these out and place with your other household plastic recycling.
Nursem believes that beauty products should be cruelty free. We are proud to be Leaping Bunny approved. A global programme, Leaping Bunny requires cruelty free standards over and above legal requirements.
All of our own brand products are approved under the Cruelty Free International Leaping Bunny programme, the internationally recognisable gold standard for cruelty free products. We adhere to fixed cut-off date policy and proactively monitor our suppliers to ensure that our products continue to adhere to the Leaping Bunny criteria. Our supplier monitor system is also independently audited.

All Nursem products have been independently safety tested and approved as having excellent skin compatibility for people with sensitive skin. We would recommend that if you suffer from allergies or skin conditions you consult your GP or Dermatologist before using anything to alleviate your symptoms. Nursem is not a medicine.
Nursem products are not organic, however they contain naturally derived ingredients.
To be 100% organic would mean our caring products would be at a price point so high that our range would have been out of the reach of many.
At the moment we do not. However we are working on this and aim to have refills available in 2020.
As a common sense precaution, we always recommend a patch test be carried out at least 24 hours prior to first use of any new product. The best places to test are inside the forearm and behind the ear – please do not patch test on skin that’s already irritated.
We currently use a skin conditioning derivative of Palm Oil called Ethylhexyl Palmitate. We are working towards replacing this with a suitable alternative by early 2020.
While the hand cream is for regular application throughout the day to prevent on-going discomfort and dryness, the hand fix aims to rejuvenate your hands if they are already in a very dry, cracked and sore state. This product is ideal for overnight application.
Our hand cream contains grapefruit essential oil. Grapefruit can sometimes amplify the efficacy of certain drugs, therefore if you are on medication please consult your GP before applying Nursem fragranced products.
Nursem products are classified as cosmetic and therefore - have to be safe for all members of the public irrespective of their gender, age and other physiological states - however we would advise that you seek the advice of a healthcare professional, for example your GP or Midwife before using our products. If you do use Nursem while pregnant - always patch test 24 hours before application.
We currently ship globally via our website (with the exception of USA and Canada, for product liability insurance reasons we do not currently ship here). If your country does not show up (or there are no shipping options available) please contact our customer service email and we will respond within 24 hours.
Currently you cannot get Nursem on prescription, we will update our customers should this change.
We will be reopening the Nursem Promise list soon and announcing this first via our social media channels.
The Nursem Promise is tied to sales of our products - for every product sold we promise to provide a nurse or midwife with a month’s supply of hand cream - therefore we cannot put a timescale on when you will receive your pack.
