Helping Nurses with the Nursem Promise
We never imagined that just over a year after launching Nursem we would have helped over 100,000 nurses and midwives with the Nursem Promise. Since day one, we have been giving nurses and midwives a month’s worth of free Nursem with every product sold. But the unprecedented demand for hand care since the outbreak of COVID-19 has made our Nursem Promise more significant than ever before.
As our recent survey showed us, during this pandemic we have been washing our hands twice as much as before. For nurses, who washed their hands on average 55 times a day before COVID-19, the toll this has taken on their hands has been, in some cases, career-halting.
When COVID-19 started spreading around the UK, we knew we had to step up to help our NHS healthcare professionals, who were working tirelessly to keep the public safe. This is when we took the early decision to allocate all our remaining stock to the Nursem Promise in April, meaning we went out of stock on our website.
But thanks to you – our loyal (and patient!) customers, we were quickly able to pick up where we left off, providing essential hand care to everyone feeling the harsh effects of relentless hand washing.
Today, it gives us great pleasure to announce that the Nursem Promise has now helped over 100,000 nurses and midwives in the UK. Despite the challenging and at times dark circumstances that have made hand care a necessity for so many key workers, the compassion and care that has been shown within our community has been incredible.
We want to thank everyone who has supported Nursem and the Nursem Promise over the past six months. Thanks to you, nurses and midwives have received support when they needed it most! We couldn’t be more proud of what we have achieved together.
