What is in Caring Skin Fix, and what does each part do?
Shea butter and avocado oil give rich, protective nourishment. Colloidal oatmeal helps calm dry, irritated skin. Sodium hyaluronate (a form of hyaluronic acid) draws in and holds moisture for deep hydration. Pro-Vitamin B5 and glycerin support the skin and help lock that moisture in.
What skin concerns is it made for?
It is an intensive, targeted balm for persistently dry and cracked skin, and works especially well on hard-worn fingertips, knuckles, heels, elbows and cuticles.
My hands are very dry and cracked. How should I use it?
Massage a pea-sized amount into the driest, most cracked areas until absorbed, and reapply as needed. It works hardest overnight. For an extra boost, apply before bed and cover hands with cotton gloves (or feet with cotton socks) so it can work while you sleep.
Can I use it if I have eczema or very reactive skin?
It is fragrance-free and suitable for the most sensitive skin, and many customers with reactive, eczema-prone skin reach for it. Patch test first, and if you have a diagnosed condition or your skin is not improving, check with your GP or dermatologist. Please do not use it on open wounds or broken, weeping skin, or on signs of infection.
How is it different from the hand cream, and can I use both?
The hand cream is your everyday, all-day layer. Skin Fix is far more intensive and targeted for problem areas. Many customers use both: hand cream through the day after each wash, and Skin Fix on trouble spots at night.
How soon will I notice a difference?
Most people feel hands are more comfortable and less tight quite quickly with regular use. Restoring skin that has been dry and sore for a long time takes consistency over days and weeks, so keep it by every sink and use it little and often.
