What is in Caring Hand Cream, and what does each part do?
Medical-grade Manuka Honey NPA 15+ soothes and helps protect. White willow bark helps calm stressed skin. A blend of plant oils (soybean, grape seed, passion flower and pomegranate) nourishes and supports the skin's natural barrier. Pro-Vitamin B5 and glycerin draw in and hold moisture, while allantoin and vitamin E soothe and condition.
What skin concerns is it made for?
It was developed with nurses to help with the dryness, tightness and soreness that come from washing your hands very often. It is designed to be used little and often to keep skin comfortable and reduce the risk of further irritation before it starts.
Can I use it if I have eczema or contact dermatitis?
It is formulated with sensitive skin in mind and many customers with these concerns use it daily. If your skin is currently broken or flaring, patch test on a small area first, and speak to your GP or dermatologist about a diagnosed condition or a flare that is not settling. If you react to fragrance, our fragrance-free version is the better choice.
Will it sting on cracked or sore skin?
The formula is gentle and non-greasy. If skin is very cracked or broken, our more intensive Caring Skin Fix is often the better fit. Cracks that are deep, painful, weeping or not improving should be looked at by a healthcare professional.
How often can I use it?
As often as you need. It is made to be reapplied throughout the day, ideally after every wash. A pea-sized amount is enough each time.
How soon will I notice a difference?
Most people feel hands are more comfortable and less tight quite quickly with regular use. Restoring skin that has been dry and sore for a long time takes consistency over days and weeks, so keep it by every sink and use it little and often.
