Can I use this on surfaces as well as skin?

Yes! Our Caring Hand Sanitiser is designed for use on surfaces as well as skin, meaning you can sanitise your keys, phone screen, children’s toys, or any other surface that requires disinfecting.

Are alcohol-free hand sanitisers effective?

Yes! Whilst alcohol-based sanitisers are a cheap and quick way of offering a level of disinfection, sanitisers containing alcohol have to have a 70% alcohol content in order to be effective. This means that they often have a severely drying and damaging effect on the skin, which can actually increase the risk of infection.

There are many other powerful ingredients and alternatives that are just as, and even more effective than alcohol. In our hand sanitiser, we use Hypochlorous, which is one of nature’s most effective antiviral substances. Our formula kills 99.99% of harmful viruses and bacteria, – including many specific viruses that alcohol gels are ineffective on – and yet on our skin it’s as gentle as water.

Why is this formula better than alcohol-based hand sanitisers?

We found that 93% of our community had experienced dryness due to frequent use of hand sanitisers on their skin. With alcohol-based sanitisers being a cheap and quick way of disinfecting surfaces and skin, most hand sanitisers are not specifically formulated to be skin-friendly.

Our formula uses Hypochlorous, one of nature’s most effective pathogen-killing substances. It’s efficacy is second-to-none, killing 99.99% of harmful viruses and bacteria, including many specific viruses that alcohol gels are ineffective on. Not only is Hypochlorous incredibly effective, but as a substance found within our immune system it is as gentle on our skin as water, meaning it won’t dry your skin out like alcohol-based hand sanitisers.

What is Hypochlorous?

Our Caring Hand Sanitiser uses the purest form of Hypochlorous. This is one of nature’s most effective antiviral substances found within our white blood cells as part of our immune system. It acts as a vital form of defence to help protect us against germs and infections, and yet to humans it’s as gentle as water.

Is Hypochlorous natural?

Yes! Hypochlorous is one of nature’s most effective antiviral substances found within our white blood cells as part of our immune system. It acts as a vital form of defence to help protect us against germs and infections, and yet to humans it’s as gentle as water.

How does Hypochlorous actually work?

Hypochlorous acid oxidises the cell walls of all pathogens causing bacteria and viruses to rupture and be destroyed. The British Dental Journal has a comprehensive explanation of how Hypochlorous works here

Does this hand sanitiser kill Covid-19?

The Hypochlorous (HOCl) technology that we use has been successfully tested against several types of coronavirus and has been independently tested in UK laboratories to the following European standard EN 14476, which is the benchmark test for effectiveness against all coronaviruses.

Why are black bottles used under the sleeve?

Hypochlorous is a substance that can be affected by heat and sunlight. Our black bottles ensure that our Caring Hand Sanitiser formula is undisturbed by these factors, meaning our formula stays effective even 12 months after opening.
